If my theory pans out and the EDZ is going in the content vault when The Witch Queen hits, it’s possible the EAZ goes with it. While the event doesnt start until July 30th, Light.gg has the quests datamined from the recent patch so we can take a look at them. (For those in the Southern Hemisphere, it’s the Summer Solstice and the longest day of the year. I did think the EAZ was cool at first, but after three years here, I feel about the same way as I did about the Haunted Forest, and I’m kind of just over it. The Winter Solstice in the Northern Hemisphere is December 21 this year, the shortest day and longest night of the year. It seems like pretty much the exact same Solstice event as the past two years of the EAZ with only minor tweaks, and once again, a pretty hefty focus on the Eververse, as most events have. The glows are differently styled this time around, no “cracked” armor this time, but lots of glowing accents in a variation on the existing Solstice aesthetic. There is yet again upgradable Solstice armor by completing EAZ challenges, and Eververse will be selling elemental glows as ornaments, that will hopefully have less drama attached to them than past years. As shown off in some of the early Season of the Splicer footage, there is a new weapon for the event this year, a legendary shotgun that players will be able to acquire during the event, and I assume additional rolls will come from Solstice packages.
